the importance of favicons

While making phone calls for work today asking people about how they used certain websites, I got a specific comment from one person that she likes that a site's bookmarks have "a little building" next to them; "there are so many 'e's." A bit of fuel for my favicon crusade (though it indicates I should expand beyond drupal favicons to *any* site without a favicon).
